The Bonaldo Luna Bianca dining table by Toshiyuki Yoshino stands out for the gently curved edge of its table top and its unusual metal rod base.
The image of a sailing boat rocking gently on the moonlit sea was Toshiyuki’s inspiration behind his design of this beautiful table. Seemingly linear, the ceramic table top stands out for its edge in a lead or bronze finish that runs all around the perimeter, gently mirroring the inclination and thereby creating an elegant yet soft curve, like the hull of a sailing boat.
The base consists of two “cage-style” structures shaped through a harmonious rhythm of slim metal tubes which, moving playfully between solids and voids, lighten the table while at the same time giving a feeling of solidity and robustness.
Available in three sizes, there are several different colours of ceramic to choose from in either a matt, gloss or silk finish. The ceramic used for this table top is unbelievably hard wearing, it resembles marble to look at but it is non porous, as well as being scratch & heat proof. The finish of the base will match the table edge, or it can be selected in brown or dark nickel.
