The Bonaldo Torii ST dining table from Marconato & Zappa stands out for its large circular table top made with an external section in wood and an internal rotating “swivel top” section in a range of hard-wearing ceramic finishes.
The look and feel of the Torii table clearly demonstrates its exotic inspiration: the slightly inclined metal elements that make up the base recall the entrances to Japanese Shinto shrines from which the table takes its name. The addition of the rotating top catches the eye creating an interesting interplay between materials.
Available in three sizes, there are two different choices for the external wood section, you can choose from canaletto walnut which will have a bronze base, or you can select brushed coal oak which will have a lead base.
The internal swivel top section is available in several different colours of ceramic in either a matt, gloss or silk finish. For an added touch of luxury it is also possible to add matching ceramic inserts into the base. The ceramic used for this table is unbelievably hard wearing, it resembles marble to look at but it is non porous, as well as being scratch & heat proof.
